During a meeting at the White House on Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump presented Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a signed copy of his book, Our Journey Together, as the two leaders engaged in extensive discussions on trade, security, and bilateral ties. The photo book, which highlights key moments from Trump’s first term in office, includes memorable events such as the Howdy Modi gathering during PM Modi’s visit to the U.S. in September 2019.
As PM Modi arrived at the Oval Office, Trump greeted him with a warm embrace before they began their talks. Later, during a joint press conference, Trump personally signed the book for the Indian Prime Minister, adding a handwritten note that read, “Mr. Prime Minister, you are great.”
The book also features images from significant occasions, including the Namaste Trump event during the U.S. President’s visit to India in 2020, as well as a photograph of Trump and First Lady Melania Trump standing in front of the iconic Taj Mahal. The gesture underscored the camaraderie between the two leaders, with Trump referring to Modi as a “friend” during the exchange.
